The Patchouli Team

Welcome to The Patchouli Garden Blog!
I'd love to take this moment to rewind, breathe, and bring you back to the basics with us.
A good way to start fresh, is to pull back the curtain and show you the faces behind Patchouli Garden.
The heart, soul, and passion of this company.

First, let me reintroduce you to our creative and passionate leader and owner, Lynda Dayton!
Her creativity and personality is present in every aspect of this company. On Nov. 20th, 2000, she had very little money, zero retail experience, and no credit. It took all of her courage, to follow through on her lifelong dream. And through her pursuit, hard work and long hours, her dreams became a reality. As her business grew, she was soon able to hire help, create an online website, and start shipping her products all over the country. Through all her success, she has never wavered from her favorite principle, which is: "At Patchouli Garden Inc. people are more than profit, so expect to be treated as a friend." Her energy and personality light up the store. Customers love it when Lynda is in the store, her open and friendly nature brings a welcoming atmosphere for all. When Lynda isn't working, she is enjoying her family and the great outdoors. She loves camping and snuggling with her pup, Remi.

Next up, let me introduce you to Jackie!
She is a native of Park Falls and has been a loyal and hardworking employee since graduating high school in 2003. After working 5 years, she briefly moved away to be closer to family in Alabama. Then moved back in 2012 and has worked here every since! Jackie is one of the first faces you see when you enter the store. She is always smiling and has great positive energy! She has learned the Patchouli Garden trades along the years, and now creates many of the candles and soaps that make it into your homes. Her passion for this company shows in all the time, care, and devotion she puts into her work. She loves the creativity that this job allows and the freedom she has to experiment and create many of the products you see today. In her spare time, she loves taking photographs and does all of the product photos on the website. She also creates all the newsletters that our customers are subscribed too. Lastly, she loves spending time with her husband, Jason and her dog, Lady!

I'd love to now introduce you to Linda!
Linda is also a native of Park Falls. She started working at Patchouli Garden in 2009, after enjoying a 2 year absence from the workforce. Prior to that, she worked as a legal assistant for 28 years. Linda pretty much is a jack- of -all-trades here at Patchouli. She does it all, but her primary specialties include bookkeeping and packing and shipping orders. She keeps all the finances in order, and takes care of all the fine details that make up a company. She is great at finding all the small issues that can get overlooked and making sure everything runs smoothly. She is passionate about making sure everything that leaves this store is at top quality. She also handles many of the customer questions and concerns. Even with all the duties and responsibilities, she is so much fun and has such a compassionate heart. When she's not working, she enjoys her role as Mom and Grandma and treasures her time with her family. She also has her fur family which includes, one dog, two cats, and two horses!

Next in our team, meet Patti!
Patti has been with Patchouli Garden since August 2007. Prior to her time here, she worked for 30 years at Lucent Technologies in Illinois, where she provided telecommunications technical support. Her and her husband then retired and moved to northern Wisconsin, She then taught computer classes to students at St. Anthony's school from 2002- 2008.
The majority of her time here at Patchouli's is spent in the packing/shipping department. She used to work 5 days a week until 2014 when she decided to semi-retire and is now spending 2 days a week here. She puts a lot of care into how each item gets shipped out of the store, and when she isn't packing she's helping in any way that's needed. Her friendly personality, makes everyone feel welcomed. And her knowledge of computers is also helpful!
When she is not working, she is spending time in her country home with her Husband.

And Hello, I am the newest member of the Patchouli Garden team! I'm Tara!

I just started at Patchouli's in April 2018. I am part time and my duties primarily are to help where ever needed. I assist in packing/shipping, labeling, and the front desk. And as you can see, I have recently taken over the blog. I love the creative atmosphere of Patchouli Garden and I am excited to be working with such amazing, kind, empowering women. To see their level of devotion and hard work is inspiring and I'm honored to be apart of it! Prior to this, I was a stay at home mom with a passion for sewing, DIY projects, photography and music. I am also worship leader at my church on the weekends. In my spare time, I'm spending every moment with my husband and our 4 children.

So here we are! We are the team that makes up Patchouli Garden! We love what we do, and we love being able to provide you with great products and tools for your everyday life! Whether it be from making candles, wax melts, incense, soaps, lotions, shower gels, roll on perfumes, body sprays, and bug spray, or providing you with great essential NOW products, or supplying a trusted line of CBD oils, we will put our skills and passion into helping you. Thank you for trusting us with your bath and body needs!
